It's OK Paul. I was hoping maybe the comments would mollify and encourage her (and get you out of an almost 10-year old's doghouse!:p). My almost 10-year old granddaughter lives with us so I understand. Maybe she'll grant you permission to post pictures of her completed work. It really does look good! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

    That castle is lookin' good.
I used some cheap jewelry chain on the drawbridge. She should give it a try.

I just wanted to show the damage my nieces castle had. Don't let water anywere near card models. We didn't notice that the drawbridge was sat on the window shelf and condensation had run down the window. It's now repaired though. Water+card=disaster.

She is going to use chains for the drawbridge as well. It makes the castle look better.

water is the mortal enemy of paper models. I hope the damage wasn't too great.

Go to the $1 store for the chains and stuff. costume jewelry is great for paper models. really gaudy earrings make great chandeliers, sconces, etc,... I picked up some fancy plastic toothpicks for serving hor-douves (?sp? the food on trays before the meal) there as well. they will make great lamp posts, and railings.
