Continuation of the underside. The rear is a bit more different in that it does not have the arms. My batteries died on my camera and I continued building. Area missing were the springs construction, but similar to the front springs but longer, The shock absorbers same as the front and the rear axle are not depicted here, sorry about that. Later in the build you will see the underside completed and use that as a reference marker.

More updates on the vehicle. Cut and trimmed the figures and placed them into their positions. Used a commo pack from my bitz box. Closed up the cage.

More updates on the scout. Added the front lights, weapons systems and front bumper with winch. The winch was made by wrapping thin wire around a small section of a tooth pick. Disregard that big fellow in the the photo, something that I was working on out of sculpey clay.

Silveroxide, thanks for showing all the detailed photos of your builds. Very helpful. There are some things I never would have thought of building in paper. It is some amazing work.

Thanks for the comments and Glad that you like the tutorials and models, Here is a teaser of what is coming up next. It is almost done and I have to work on the photographs for uploading. Something that is missing from the Imperial Navy. They have skimmers and other kinds of vehicles but for a navy, they are lacking in this department.

The idea for this project comes from the Higgins boat, famous for the beach heads on D-day and the Island hopping in the Pacific Theater. The inspiration came while I was watching Enemy at the Gates. That water operation and the beginning of the movie is something like a 40K war scenario. So without further ado, here begins another thread of the Warhammer genre.

More update photos of the landing craft. In #014, there is a wall support at the beginning of the cabin. You can make a tab to the wall or make a floor frame work to attach the walls around the cabin area.

More updates for the landing craft. In photo 020, The cabin access doors have round portholes. Later on in the build, I will change them to view ports. The hinges are made from a small sections from a tooth pick.

To continue with more updates on the landing craft. In the first photo you can see the framing of the aft cabin. The framing at the top of the cabin helps in the stiffening of the top deck plate and the center stiffener will prevent the deck from curving inwards (warping). In the last photo, I have two rudder control access covers. You can keep both and place the pilot house in the center if you wish. I opted for the Pilot house to be on the port side which will cover that sides access cover. Next installment will follow shortly.

Next installment for the landing craft. Here you can see the armored view slit instead of the port holes or open windows. The front option is from the old style rhino ramp but you can opt for the original flat front. I think that the angle look of the ramp looks better for this version. See you all soon with more updates.:wave::wave:

Thanks for the comment Patron, There are many unimagined vehicles yet to be constructed. I am also thinking of a riverine patrol boat to compliment the landing craft. There are also more ideas in Space marine jet bikes as well as imperial guard jet bikes and imperial guard scout bikes as well. One of the reasons I am building these items, is that they should not compete with GW and they are applicable to other table top games.

Here are a few more updates on the landing craft.

The ladder came from my bitz box but it is also easily built from card as well. The railing poles are tooth picks cut to size. The oxy tanks are also parts from the bitz box but can be built from card too. A bunch of little details are built for the upper deck. That is all from now, see you all next posting.:wave::wave:
