OK... I promised some pictures, and I hate to break my word

So...having completed the work on the Dreadnought, here is how she looks.

The block sitting on the floor is the missile rack option for the left arm. This is for those wanting the fire-support variant. The twin Las-Cannon is available to build for the right arm instead of the bolter setup, and there is also another arm option for the close combat specialist. The storm bolter took a while to build up right, but is worth the trouble. You also need to remember to colour the inside of the gun barrels black before you roll them up..... You also need to bend the ammo belt before you glue the 2 faces together. This leaves you a tab at each end to attach it with, and allows it to curve properly. I have done red and blue schemes for Ultramarines and Blood Angels for release. Should have this thing zipped up and ready for release tomorrow. Just need to put a few notes on the PDO file.

    Also on the building blocks:

This is the demolisher turret for the LeMan Russ already released. I wanted to build it to swap over the standard one I had built first time.

And finally, there is the Tank Hunter. The hull is just about built, and the new parts that are unique to the build are all done and look as I had expected. The tracks are still to be finished, but these are identical to the MeMan Russ build, so I know how they will work. Nearly done with the gun options, and will build those once I have them unfolded. Theflat area where the forward gun mount is on the LMR is the attachment area for the guns here.

    That's it for today!

Oh..yes...and I had to take a break to watch the rugby and recomission my summer transport from it's winter hibernation. So...Monday I go to work on my 1982 GSX1100 Katana instead of my winter hack. Look out commuters!

Amazing detail. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
  8. Great job on the tanks so far!!!!!!! Could ya PLEASE do the baneblade next? My armor company is growing by the hour and now all I need is a Baneblade to strike fear into the hearts of my opponents!

Great Job again and THANKS for the work you are doing!

A Baneblade IS in the works, but it is a little way away from getting released. I am adding a lot more detail to it than my rough original release, and that takes time. It will be worth the wait though!

Next release is the Tank Hunter / Demolisher combo. Test build of the gun is nearly done, and then that will get released.

I have some more turret variants for the LeMan Russ to release soon as well, and then work moves full time to the BIG one.

Or I might do the Space Marine bike...or the Land Raider. Or the Sentinel...

I've started mine, but I'm afraid that the fiddley-bits are going to prove to be too much of a challenge for my fat and uncooperative fingers....we'll see...

The wife kindly bought me a very small Swiss Army Knife ... which comes with a very small pair of scissors and a small pair of tweezers. Perfect for detail work!

Coupled with a cocktail stick to apply glue, it's almost a ocmplete toolkit! Well ..apart from my other scissors, craft knife, bigger tweezers, tiny screwdriver kit ( perfect or rolling tubes around... ) various glues etc.

For precision work, though, the tiny scissors on the knife are absolutely perfect.

    OK...update time again!

Nearly done with the build of the Tank Hunter. I just need to finish off the tracks and wheel parts, and dress the hull sides with the doors etc. Looks pretty good! The demolisher I pinched from my old Baneblade, textured it, and tweaked it a little..and that looks fine too. Should have some pictures soon.

On the subject of Baneblades ... I have noticed a few serious issues with my first attempt BB. The model was based on a mesh I extracted from DOW, and not from the Imperial Armour refs. Comparing it now with better references, I can see it is really the wrong shape! It is a lot lower and flatter, especially in the track area. Basically...I am starting again with an entirely new mesh.

In the meantime...I have knocked up a quick Tau drone just for fun.... only took 5 minutes!

These are awesome!!! I'm definitely adding them to my build list!

PS: Thanks for the info on Spooky's too. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Tau drone has been built up, and should be uploaded soon. I will post some pics when I get in from work. It needs some kind of a base / stand so it appears 'floating' but that is something any builder can do themsleves! ( I am just so lazy :p )

The Tank Hunter has it's gun in place, and it looks nice. Just need to test build the Demolisher and I can upload that as well.

    Quick question.... should I :

    1) Include the track units and accessories sheet in the Tank Hunter download

    2) Release JUST the bits that are unique to the Tank Hunter and let the builders download the Russ to get the track pods, bulldozer blade and accessories?

Don't mind myself... but option 1 takes up more space in the download area, but is more convenient for builders. Option 2 saves space and would be easier for those wanting to build the full set. Let me know how you would prefer it.

Photo is slightly blurred, but this is the Tau Attack Drone. It's sitting on top of a 2p coin, to give you an idea of the scale. This little thing is ready for upload too.

    Great Job!

I must say the pics look great. Hope your do Chaos versions of them next :)

Chaos vehicles will come in due course. They will definitely present an interesting challenge!

Meantime, the latest release is ready to roll. The Tank Hunter and Demolisher are ready for release. You will need to get the basic tank model download as well for this, since it uses the track pods from that.

The second shot shows the optional Demolisher cannon that can be used insterad of the tank hunters cannon. Just glue it in the same place, and the job is done!

    Basic tank: $35

    Resin parts from FW: $30

Paper basic tank and conversion parts: priceless.
