Wal-Mart.... The cheapest HO vehicles??

I went to Wal-Mart today to see if they had any HO scale (1:87) vehicles for my soon to come layout. I checked near the Hot Wheels cars and to my suprise they had HO scale vehicles!! They had the following:

$1.67 cars
Pontiac - Firebird
BMW - assorted
Shelby - Cobra
Dodge - Viper
Porshe - assorted

I'm sure they have more, I just grabbed them all.

$2.67 cars
Athearn John Deere tractors
50 class
100 class
G480 class

The cars are too new for me, but I'll have to check for those tractors...!

Also in the 1.67 car are 55 chevs, one red and one blue. Unfortunetly I have only seen them in the US walmarts, not yet in Canada

I would easily pay more money than to give it to Walmart.

When your local hobby shop goes out of business, no need to scratch your head and wonder why.

I just returned from Wal-mart tonight. I found there a 1956 school bus made by johnny lightning, looks pretty close to 1/87 for a mere 2.92. It's painted in a 'pez' cndy scheme but I plan to repaint it.
I think this is the same bus that Shaygetz used for his railbus project.
