Freakkin' awesome!! I'm beyond impressed!
Me too! I loved this gun even more than the Visitor shuttles.
Thanks! Wait till you see these..!
Weather was better today so that I was able to take some pics outside. Now you can see the laminations much better.
And the close-ups. The sides are not mirrored but slightly different. The left side is a bit more detailed. I glued some dark grey rectangles to the wrong platings to give the impression that these areas are recessed. The final kit which you all may enjoy soon will feature the correct shapes. Detailing the muzzle was very exciting because I didn't know if the cardboard stripes would wrinkle when they were bent around a pencil to make them round. I was lucky, they didn't.
The half sphere on the barrel was also detailed with cardboard strips.
This is an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL weapon.
You have done an AMAZING job on this model.
With the detail that you have put into the model from the start, you have given it a more realistic look and feel..
I am really looking forward to building it.
I think I just found my first Blaster kit to try.
I Love this one
Very sharp looking model. Is anyone planning a set of additional parts to make the laser rifle? They would make a nice pair of models to be displayed together or separately.
Stuning - amazing - fantastic
WOW those outdoor pics are absolutely GREAT a true masterpiece. Thank you sir for all your amazing work. :inw: :inw::inw:Rick
You won't be disappointed! It is really a simple build and looks awesome, especially the revised version with the new paint scheme and the superior detail.
To be honest, I am considering it. First, I was scared off by the size of such a weapon. But now I think the whole project wouldn't be complete if you haven't got a rifle add-on kit standing by. And it would consist only of three new parts. The prop department went a very easy way and used the blaster as a center piece for the rifle when the series was produced. They simply screwed a new barrel, targeting visor and back piece to it and made sure that the add-ons could be removed to have a pure blaster again if necessary.
I found a pics of the blaster and rifle together.
Thanks a lot! It is useful! :thumb:
Unfortunately life's been very busy lately and I was unable to work on this project as much as I wanted to. I'm very sorry for this and I ask you to be a bit patient. I have revised the kit one last time according to Rhaven's suggestions and tips and will make a new accurized version which will be used as a basis for the rifle add-on kit. Stay tuned!
Looks good so far, looking forward to it's completion. Take your time though, it's just a model!
V blaster ready!
The V blaster kit is (finally) ready and has been submitted to the movie downloads section. It is now in the moderation queue and will hopefully be available for everyone to enjoy soon. Thanks to Rhaven Blaack the quality of the kit could be vastly improved and this gun will become an equivalent companion of the Colonial Blaster.
Have fun and
Approved and Ready to go!!
And I would be very rude if I didn't say
for all your work on this.
You are welcome! And yes, I'm working on the rifle add-on!:thumb:
