@ Zathros- well when I'm not home my wife generally is. And she is a scrapper, take it from me- you don't want to mess with her!

@ Skoda- that is some mighty fine and clean building! I really like the planning, layering, and attention to detail that you are putting into this.

Oh shucks!! :)

@ Skoda, I seriously am running out of words and sentences to express my awe and amazement at your diligence in creating this ship!!

I gave up trying to think of different ways of saying it. If I can ever do something as good as this I will be in heaven.

Once i'm done with my SULACO I guess I'll send it to you so that you can add your layer-magic on her, too...

I wish I'ld have the patience to do this with my one. But I'm happy enough to be able to find the time to "just" build it.

Just joined to say...

simply amazing and super awesome...

as a huge alien fan, i'm currently working on an aliens vs colonial marines boardgame, and are going to build a dropship and apc... but then i fell over this project, and i must say, once i get better, this is what i have to make and have mounted on the wall in a display case...

wow... can't wait for the project to be finished...

As I've said before, this is inspiring! I really want to start this, but I think it will panic my huband to see all the paper I'd need, lol. My daughter would enjoy watching though...

How many copies of each part would I need to print to get this kind of layering/texture? I've only ever tried one other this way and it was a TARDIS; not very challenging to layer.

Thank you :)
I'm glad you've done such a great job of chronicling this build; I need all the help I can get! Can't wait to see what's next!

Wanna hear something really, really sad?
I finished the first half of my Sulaco model and wanted a more used, a more dirty fashion. Last week, my printer broke down. And I can't get the same model!! Worse, I can't get the printing settings right, so the rear half might look completely different.*sigh*
Just decided I give the already built section to my daughter (yes, she really likes it, strange) and start building from scratch.

And it took a night, but I printed all the available downloads, just in case...
