Unique Logging Speeder

    Sorry for the grainy picture but it came from a photo-copy of an old black and white.

    Yes this Rolls Royce mounted on railway wheels was used as an inspection speeder, by the President of Mayo Bros Logging, on Vancouver Isalnd, BC.

    The car was a a sleek black 1930 Phantom II, 138 GN with Trupp and Maberly "Sedan de Ville" body. Lots of shiny chrome and big brass bell on the hood.

    This would make a very intersting special car to kit bash for any railway.

    I just love seeing shots like this. Note the right-hand drive.
