joesho, thats one well used reefer , NICE JOB!  -Deano
Although I don't model U.S. Trains, I am planning to buy a Challenger,
Big Boy, DD35 and DDA40X for display (Yes, I know, I should be shot! )- maybe even a Gas Turbine.
U.P. and BNSF are my favourite U.S. roads Amtrak third.:thumb:
If I was doing American though, I would definately do U.P.- always loved the colour scheme and the idea that they have so many locos they ran out of numbers!
So any post about the above three I'm interested in.
Hi Deano, I am also a big UP fan. A lot of my family has worked for UP. If it wasn't for them transferring the St. Louis operations to Omaha, I would be working for UP also.
I'm just getting my layout and collection started. I recently picked up one of the Broadway Limited AC6000 locomotives. The owner of the hobby shop let me run it on their test track to make sure everything worked since I wouldn't have a layout of my own to run it on for a while.
Next to my P-42:
Those are nice looking engines! Love the details of the AC6000. I love how the radiator hangs over the end of the engine, they look really cool when you put two back to back.
Tim, that is a BEAUTIFUL LOOKING UNIT!!!! I really want a AC6000
BTW, nice pics, there so clear and focused
Here's my contribution to the UP/C&NW thread...
My BLI UP AC6000CW of course, then there's my Atlas C&NW 8-40C.Can you believe I won it for $40 off of E-Bay,pretty good darn deal I think.
O man, I really like that CNW Dash 8-40C!!!! I want one of dem to!!
BTW, these adds on the left side of the page are gonna get me in some trouble on e-bay
im really getin tempted at buyin some UP locos now! darn UP and all there SWEET engines.....LOL,great pics and engines guys :thumb:--josh
MadHatter, you have EXCELLENT taste in engines:up: . i have 2 Challengers, a Big Boy, a DD35, and a DD40AX, ALL good runners:up: ...sorry, no turbines yet, but hopefully soon .
Tim, GLAD to have you aboard! NICE UP AC6000! , i see yours is like Chris's, its a first run BLI AC6000:mrgreen: . i wanted a first run, but missed out on them , i DID get one of the second run UP AC6000's though:up: . on the second run, BLI moved the ditch lights below the anticlimer(see pic) . I'm looking forward to seeing your UP collection grow:up: .
Josh M, that IS a NICE looking CNW Dash 8-40C Chris has:up: ....but wouldn't you REALLY want a UP Dash 8-40C .
Josh, it's OK, come on over to OUR SIDE of the tracks:up:  .
Love that DD40AX! I don't think my curves could handle that!
I was going to buy the low ditch light version. But there was some binding in the gears when we tested the loco. That was the last one they had of that version and so I went with the one in the pictures.
i love the pics!!!
Oh yea i forgot something UNION PACIFIC ROCKS!!!!!!
WELCOME nscaler722:wav: , feel free to post ANY of your UP stuff here, we would love to see it:up: . ANY UP talk, or questions ARE ALSO welcome here!
we all have to create a good name for UP Ex. opposite of Ugly People RR
More please i cant think right now
No need for that my friend , UP already has a GOOD NAME: Union Pacific:up: , That says it all, theres really no more to say:up: ...feel free to write that down  -Deano
NICE SD50 Josh!
Man, UP needs an engine wash here in south Texas. These two engines look like they got rained on by acid rain. It shows just how much these EMD engines can take. Sorry for the crappy pictures, im using my cell phone hehe. Maybe someday i'll add scenery when I get around to building a layout.
