At the moment I am working on my first cardmodel of a Steyr Puch Haflinger. The program I use is google sketchup and the progress is rather slow.Whilst there is still a lot of work to be done the next question has popped up.
How do I turn it into a printable model?
Would be very grateful for advice.
    Kind regards from Down Under

rumor has it, and I have not investigated this rumor, that there is a Ruby script available, that allows you unfold.

I beleive, your friend and mine, The Haggard, has had some success with that script.

Either shoot him an email or browse through the Ruby scripts at the help section of Sketch Up

Try Pepakura. It accepts Sketchup kmz files.

    Unfolding in Sketchup

I have now produced three commercial models for my Taiwan publisher and three models for my own web site... all totally in SketchUp using the Ruby unfolding script. I am thrilled. Pepakura is nice but at times I had to spend so much time correcting its assumptions. With SketchUp and unfolding each plane, I am spending no more time at all, getting a better final work, and then adding the tabs i want while I add the skin in Illustrator.

    Sweet for us mac users!
