I have finished unfolding a model in sketchup and am pleased with the results, I just realized that I have absolutely no idea what to do now that I finished unfolding. Do I need to export it into another program to make a 2d file? Please help if you can.

Save the file as a kmz file (make sure you select the version 4 option) and Pepakura will open it for you. Alternatively arrange your unfolded surfaces into one of the major planes, view that plane directly and export the image as a 2D file, png for example. You can then open the png file in Paintshop Pro, Paint etc to edit and print it.
