Track Code Markings

Is there any way to tell from markings on pieces of flex track whether it is code 100, 83.....?

I would just measure the rail height. Code 100 = 1/10 or 0.10 inch, and code 83 is 0.083".

As far as I know there are no markings to tell what code it is.

Here's something that might help....Compare the flex track to a piece of sectional track which is always code 100. If only just slightly smaller ( barely noticible) its code 83. If the flextrack is obviously smaller then its code 70. If it looks way too small then its code 55.

Thanks for the advice. The problem is that I don't have direct access to the track in question.
