Hi all, just a question, do people scratchbuild card or paper models from ships plans?

Absolutely! Thats very challenging but also very rewarding. See Greg Shoda's work. He scratchbuilds Battleships and pre-drednoughts. He posts here and has posts on Model Warship gallery.
