I see that this year's show has been moved to a Middle School in the Jane & Steeles area.

Does anyone know the story behind this move?

In the early 90's it was a very large show at the International Centre, then it downsized to the Congress Centre (where, many years, it was a disappointment) and now this latest move (which doesn't strike me as being positive!).

This has been discussed a fair bit on the CN Lines listserve. The consensus seems to be that the price of renting the space went up, that there are no longer as many participants as people are getting older and not being replaced, and that the industry has stopped coming. It doesn't sound good.

Hi bigdonnie, how are you , been a while since our last meeting.
I have heard that many of the venders are not attending this show, I think the location is a big minus for them.
The last I heard was a few displays had not siged up either :(

The Platelayers have decided not to attend. The location was a big put-off and the show itself has been declining.
There was a time when they had managed to drive off all the other shows in Toronto.
I may go in for a look.
