Not really. Thay are fun play cars at best.

If you want to buy a RTR kit then I suggest you look at the Team Associated Nitro TC3 RTR kit. This car is a great starter in nitro sedans and can be upgraded as you get better to full race specs. The manuals that come with the Associated kits are superb as well. Parts are available here almost anywhere, but check locally first.

The Thunder Tiger sedan was sold in base and Pro versions but they were still just play cars like the HPI Nitro RTR, HPI Nitro 2, and the Duratrax Street Force, Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec.

I have never seen a Smartech car so I can't make a comparison.

It may be nice but it is not in the same league as the Mugen MX-3, Serpent 705, NTC3, Ofna LD3, etc...

It is basically a fancy play car. Traxxas make nice stuff don't get me wrong, but they do not make top line race vehicles.

You need to determine exactly what you want a nitro sedan to do for you. If you want to race and be competitive, then I strongly recommend one of the brands I suggested earlier.

If on the other hand you only want to rip aoung in front of the house or in a local parking lot then the Thunder Tiger will be fine. So will the Traxxas, HPI and the Duratrax.

The MOST important aspect to determine is parts availability. Buy a car that your local store support. Check the shops and see for yourself what parts they have in stock.
