Thoughts on track cleaning

Though the major contact on the rail is as you indicate on the inner edge, anything on the rails MAY make contact with the wheels and possibly spread into the wrong places or worse yet build up on the wheels causing an out of round situatin. I have seen LOTS of wheels so dirty they actually bounced as they rolled. I think it best to keep the entire rail head clean and concentrate on the inner edge some of the time.
