Today, I wired my track blocks up to the controller. Because of the smaller wire, I believe the currant is less to the tracks.....

My Spectrum 2-6-0 was struggling across the blocks. I couldn't figure out why. I removed all the cars and ran the lcocmotive. It went around the layout just fine. I started to add the cars. I would add one and ran one. When I came to one of the offset hoppers. I notice it wasn't moving to smoothly. I removed it from the train. I added the rest on. The locomotive ran just fine.

The 2 morals of the story. Make sure you have enough power to the tracks. Make sure your wheels are aligned and clean. I am going to add a relay to the switch controlls. This way the small gauge wires will be by-passed. I am going to clean and aligned the wheels of the hopper!

    A lesson learned!
