There is a difference between pornography and art. I have been trying to find a way of including more mature themes, that can allow artistic expression. Expect to see more of this. No overt sexual display, I believe in keeping it in your pants, but we all know how SciFi with the idea human persons in the scene enhances and tells a story. Think about it. Anything and everything of this nature will come by me first. It is the only way I can think to do it and keep the place family friendly. People take their kids to museum and I sincerely doubt that they paintings and statuary they see there would be called porn. I may try to set up an adult section of the forum. That will take a lot of work and more on my part, so might, is a word to remember. :)

The ideas are there. Some Pepakura models might look good but their faces always look so pointy. Time to grow!! Get more women in this forum, and represent what the better halves have to offer. If you want to post guys, go ahead. I prefer to concentrate on women. I see a guy in the mirror everyday!! :)

I know that this is a bit late, however, here is my addition.
patrick_nagel_esque_wilma_deering___buck_rogers_by_brandtk-d82o0te.jpg

I have always like the art of Patrick Nagel(even though this piece is not his, but it is done in his style of work) and thought that this would fit in nicely.

Very nice, RB! :) Of course you have posted this picture only because of the Thunderfighter in the background (I know you! :D). ;)

"Sherlock: The Abominable Bride" showcased a cool poster by Charles Allan Gilbert called "All is Vanity". It is a fascinating illusion and shows a woman in a mirror... or not? Judge for yourself:

I'm, Happy this thread revived. This is a "Bas-Relief" type "Idon'tknowhatocallit" I made of a young woman. I have the templates still, if anyone was interested. I have done a few of these, and surprisingly, women like them a lot (guys too, obviously), but when my wife gave me the nod of approval, I was somewhat taken aback! The first one is "Alvis", from the "Anime" series "Last Exile, the second one, well, that one is self explanatory, it's around 5 years old, so it's a bit tattered. :)

I had to download it. I may make a variation using a female model, by removing most of the center pieces, and replacing strategic ones to bring out some eroticism. I might start that from scratch.;)

I can't get myself to accept "sexy" interpretations of stuff like this. You can especially see this in cosplay, but also in fan art and other fields.

I know what you mean. It could be called a corruption of the subject and can polarize the audience. In many cases it does not work, in some others ... well, maybe:

As some of you may know I write and draw comic strips. I'm a bit out of practise but I think I still can do it. My role models are Carl Barks and Michael Turner. Especially Michael "taught" me how to improve my character drawings. Here are some images from my "Terminator Vs. Predator" crossover comic I wrote in 2004:

Sexy Sarah Connor (daughter of John Connor, "played" by Keira Knightley):

her boyfriend Mac (Josh Hartnett):

and special guest star Vin Diesel as Challenger West (and no, he's no Terminator ;) ):

Kinda offtopic but just wanted to add: Although I love variations and authentic interpretations of known characters and designs, I can't get myself to accept "sexy" interpretations of stuff like this. You can especially see this in cosplay, but also in fan art and other fields.

Female adaption of character? Sure, cool idea!
Female character which was originally designed to be sexy, therefor good authencity? You nailed it!
Fully sexualized interpretation of character with barely any resemblance to original but mainly nudity, just to show off or get attention? Nah...

I hope you get what I'm trying to say...

I believe I do. I do not enjoy gratuitous "sexploitation" of women, but I do find women beautiful. I have 4 sisters. Women are also underpaid, and unappreciated. I do not find the woman form vulgar, though obviously, they can be displayed as such. This thread is about the portrayal of the human experience in a mature fashion, and demonstrate the we are not vulgar, we are human. I prefer to draw women. My personal preference. Your comment Nero_on_Fire" is exactly what I wish to hear. Clear balanced thoughts. None of us would be here if it weren't from women. We all know a beautiful woman when we see one. How that differs among men, some I could not imagine being with, I know (my personal fault), I've found by far, the kindest people you could ever know, and their husbands tell me the best wives they could ever have had. I guess that's what makes the world go round. Of course, it is well documented that I have no idea of what I write of. :smoker::sticktongue::hammerhead:
