That freebie Sopwith Triplane...built it? (with link)

I just found a "freebie" Sopwith Triplane on my HD - I think it came from a Russian site(?).

EDIT: It's from the Russian "BTCAD" site -

    Look for the file "Sopwitch".

Anyway, I don't believe there's any dispute that the free kit is legit.

Nevertheless, the coloring is rather innacurate, so I changed it to be more authentic. Then, I enlarged it and am looking forward to building it...but, has anyone here actually made it themselves?

If so, is it a good kit?

Thank you in advance for your trouble.

    Russian Sopwith Triplane Model

    Hi Wily,

Yes, the Sopwith Triplane is a free Russian model.
I have also downloaded it and I have enlarged and printed it. It looks quite good for a free model and I plan to build it in the near future.

This is a nice model and I like it a lot.
That's why I'm going to repaint it first, with more detail, and add some "missing parts, too.

I'm looking forward to report here. Maybe during holidays.

I would like to see one of these repaints showing the differences :)

Well, a little weathering wouldn´t do any harm, and those "ribs effect"

I´d also like do make the control surfaces movable, and the cockpit more detailed...

    Well, therapy,

Sounds more like 'add-ons', new parts or cutting work than a digital re-paint job to me . . .
