Just getting into N-Scale and built a small 1x2 foot diorama to try my hand at it. Here's a photo...
Very nice work, Gerry!
That's some great looking scenery!
Did you use a digital camera?
Lookin' good Gerry.
Thank you for your kind words.
The photo was taken with my old Pentax SP500 SLR using a blue, illuminated mat as a background. I have since got a Fuji FinePix 2400 digital camera. Here's a shot using its macro mode of a trestle I scratch-built for my next N-Scale project.
The diorama was Woodland Scenics all the way. Foam base and tunnel, newspaper hills with plaster cloth over everything. Light Hydrocal rock castings with acrylic washes. Woodlands ground foams and grass.
My next project is a 7 foot long point-to-point shelf layout...
Very nice, Gerry!
Are you planning to use this diorama as part of your 7 foot layout?
Hi Gerry and welcome to the Gauge,
Nice looking scenery there my friend, and good photo's also, keep up the good work.
I really do like those rocks - are they natural stones or "artificial" model rocks?
The rocks in my small diorama are made from Hydrocal using Woodland Scenics rubber rock casting molds. They are then glued onto the plaster cloth and painted with acrylic washes...
Great work, great photography! I'll shut up now.
