Temporary Layout 4x2

Since I don't have the space yet, I decided to set up a little 4'x2' piece of plywood and throw some track on it so I can run my engines. I got to say, I'm so glad I run N-Scale and not anything bigger.

It's a double oval with a basic switch-over and two tiny spurs. But it's enough that I can run two engines pulling 4-5 cars simultaniously.

I like it so much, that I may just build off of the basic design when I finally buy a house and get a big chunk of the basement to work with.

If it works for you go with it. Have you thought about adding any scenery even if it is temporary?

Yeah, possibly. I want to divide the layout on a diagonal with a small hill and trees. I have a few more small buildings and vehicles I can throw in as well. I don't want to get into it too much, as we're going to be shopping for a house within the next couple months.

But I do need to get some scenery practice in, as I've never actually done it myself (just helped others).
