Another kit from DrafModel. DrafModel has proven to be one of the best designers. The Pak40 and the LeFh are both something I call a 100% kit.
Everything fits....no need to trim any parts. very few designers can beat this.
So my expectations for this T28 are really high. I will also give a lot of thanks to Rafal for this great model!!

When starting a new model I also have a chance to clear my workshop a bit...
First pic shows the desk at the final stages of the P51...second pic shows present stage!!

So the build starts with a fresh workbench.

The hull was first out.
Drawing

Frames put together. This will as we can see be a big model :)

Nice clean desk . Maybe you should post a pic of your desk in about 2 days. sign1 Make sure you take a pic with current newspaper showing a date . sign1

Every time I clean my work area it takes less than a day to mess it upp again .

Good luck with T28 . Love your work with other previous models .:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Continuing with skinning the hull.

Also started on the front hatch, that looks like an escape tunnel!

Parts to fit in the gaps under the upper leadwheels....I'm going to need an awful lot of nuts....

And some nuts....needed :)

Thanks Igor!! The advantage of DrafModels is that everything fits :)

Some stiffeners for the skirt.

Paint isn't dry yet....I paint with Humbrol 105, hope that is close enough....

Not brave....I just have some spare patiente to use :)

Started on the turret.

The drawing

The assembly of the frames for the main turret went very well.

Next was the top skin that will be covered on the sides with another skin part.

Top skin is on, and the flips are bent over the rounded edge and glued.

Next was the side skin....the other part will be glued tomorrow.

All stiffeners for the sideskirts are done.

And in between I'm placing nuts and bolts......

Johnny,

Another outstanding build, the model must need several hundred nuts to do the added detail.

Front turret machinegun port.

Drawing

When I looked at the drawing the port first looked a bit tricky to make.
It's half way sunked into the turret.

I cut out the parts and glued the 3 pieces together.

I also had to cut a hole in the turret to have the port fit in.

And when I put the piece in....of course it fitted :) hey! it's a Draf Model!!

Gun and outer plate mounted

The main hatch.
Now I got use of the tiny screws I got a year ago!!

Hatch mounted in place.

Hello guys!

Back from the north sea for some days now, and have been doing some paperworks.

Engine fan. This is going to be covered, so i did not put a lot of work in detailing here...

Finished the turrets and machineguns. Started to put on some weathering and dirt and rust pigments. It will be smeared more out when its finished...

Will continue on the exhaust
