My dad got me hooked when I was a wee lad and gave those same trains to me many years later upon becoming reinterested in trains again. A lot of these trains are from the 50's and 60's and while some of them are only for looks a couple are on regular rotation which is really neat.

Neat survey, good luck with it :thumb:

That's because you answered them inside a quote box. The forum software doesn't recognize anything in a quote box as characters in a new post. If you had copied and pasted instead of quoting, then the forum would have let you post just the questions and answers.

This has been a public service announcement brought to you by a guy who spends way too much time on the internet. We now return you to your regularly scheduled posting.

Hi there, welcome to the Gauge. I'm a bit curious about your survey and some of the questions you ask. Can I ask you what level is your economics class, and what's the purpose of the data you are collecting? The reason I ask this is that going on a model train forum and asking "do you know anyone that has a model train?", or "do you own model trains?" is tantamount to going on the subway and asking riders if they ever used public transportation or asking a ditch-digger if they've ever used a shovel. Your data is going to be skewed because you're asking the wrong questions to this kind of group. You are also talking to people ranging in age from the early teens to well past retirement, but the data you are collecting is really geared towards those in the younger group, again resulting in some non-statistical data.

I wish you the best with your class, but I am somewhat confused by the questions you've asked.
