    Thanks for the great pictures everyone. I have always found stations to be an interesting place to train and people watch from the main terminal in Capetown. Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa and Union station here in nearby Toronto

    As well demonstrated here, railroad stations come in all shapes and sizes. I couldn't resist including this one, which has been turned into one of the finest art museums in Paris, France, and is now known as the Musee D'Orsay. This interior shot was taken from a platform about three stories up.


    Can you imagine when this was the main concourse of a railroad station?
