I'm a Star Wars freak and it looks dead on to me.
Awesome. I find this inspiring! I've always wanted to develop some Sci-fi paper models, but never did because of all of the copyright issues. I may have to develop a couple free ones sometime soon, though.
looking good! I see those icosohedron fuel tanks at the top, you might want to adopt the fuel tanks I used for the LSAM for use on your model:
first 4 sheets ready!
first thanks for the encouragment..... it's appreciated
thanks also to jleslie48.... i may take you up on the offer if my build don't work
so here it is first 4 sheets to build the bridge tower for a 2 ft star destroyer..... not too happy with some of the peparuka stuff but building it beta will show me if there's any big problems
Looking good. I like this build and I like that you are sharing it with us.
Forgot to ask what type of paper are you using.
Looking VERY good indeed. This is almost as good as looking over your shoulder as you design.
Are you going to have tiny TIE fighters flying patrol around it?
Keep up the good work sir. I look forward to every post.
Well it's time I made a comment,.. this is one brilliant post gofficfool.
I'm thinking it's time I ditched the 2D autocad. Great Stuff.
the nightmare begins
after the hangover and the domestic kibble that saTURDdays always entail, i got down to starting the bridge tower build
the little one is the test piece i did!
all i've added is a couple of extra tabs on the really long edges and it's gone together ok
paulhbell......... for ur info i'm printing these sheets on 106 gsm cardstock
elliot.......... keep your peepers peeled for a tiny falcon and almost certainly tiny slave 1, ties, and a tyderium.... if i can work that small
gippolot..... for sure get into a 3d design package, sure lots of members will let u know whats free and useable
my balls deformed!!
got very frustrated today.......
my hammer thumbs got in the way of making the sensor globe... oh well
looks better in place though
That globe looks great to me! Cool!8)
That's all that needs to be said
Looking at the size of the bridge, this would make a good companion for EKUTH'S big galactica.
yeah paul i read that thread through to get some hints an tips
That looks amazing  She's really going to be huge! I know you told us 2 feet but seeing is believing
Might I offer a little suggestion? The sensor globes have a center column support inside the ring structure. Some are cylindrical and some slightly conic. It might add a bit of structural support so the truss doesn't take all the stress.
I'm attaching a couple pics. I also found one from a rarely seen angle.
it was the balls what made me deaf
steveK .... many thanks for the pics... i knew about the tube thing but i keep trying to drop detail as the parts are tiny even at 2ft long! ur right about the size thing... i've completed the frames for the hull and its gigantic! will be laminating and constructing the frame this week i hope.
heres a shot of the peparuka screen
got the radar array together and on.... hmmmmm mebe need to revise the artwork and print on the back of the paper? or a fold over
artwork for the big docking bay underneath
awesome! awesome! awesome!
Wooow...That's Excellent!. I'd bet there'll be plenty of work benches getting cleared to start building this one!. * I can picture two or three of these big buggers hanging from my ceiling.
Man this looks realy good
definetly gonna do this one when/if he releases it
looking very good and looking forward to more updates
