I have an N scale SW9/1200 TH&B Life-Like engine and I would like to keep it for as long as I can because it is a very smoooooth runner.
I know that Life-Like has been purchased by Walthers but Walthers doesn't have any " spare parts purchasing" on their website, while Atlas does.
So, where did you get spare parts for your Life-Like ( HO or N ) engines ?
    Tia for any info.

What kind of "spare parts" do you need, Jacques?

Wayne, I don't need any spare parts ...yet.
The parts I would like to have in stock are: motor brushes, the brass contacts in the trucks and the LEDs

    MasonJar It's not rocket surgery

I would think that those specific parts could be had from suppliers other than Walthers. The brass contacts could even be manufactured by you... There are plenty of "aftermarket" suppliers for LEDs and motor (parts), so I don't think you'll be stuck.

I agree that the service for parts has not been so great since Walthers took over. I wanted some of the "spares" that you get when purchasing an undecorated 0-6-0 (mine came as CNR), but they won't sell you those.

You might try the Canadian distributor, but at this point, they may be referring you to Walthers.

    Good luck!
