I have been asked by a friend if SP ever painted any of their cabooses with speed-lettering.
Not knowing for certain, I did a check of some of the obvious resources and came up empty. It is highly unlikely that any caboose was ever painted in speed lettering as that style came about near the end of the caboose era as well as in the last days of SP.
However, in railroading anything is possible and before I report back I thought I would ask here about this question.
Does anyone have any pictures of a speed lettered caboose or know of any other resources for SP besides espee modelers on railfan?
