About a year ago (how time flies) I built a resistance soldering station. Just wanted to share how its working.

Hey thanks for posting this, i've been interested in how to get the joints soldered up properly and i think i'm gonna have to either buy or build one of these resistance soldering setups.

Your joint looks perfect!! :) will this work for n scale track as well?

Yes it should work with n scale. I set my battery charger for 10 amp on code 100 ho scale. Also a added note if using it in a basement a ground fault interrupt outlet wouldnt hurt to be safe.

I remember reading an article about how to build my own resistance soldering setup, but for the life of me I can't find the link, would you happen to know of any diy instructions to build one?
