Asking what scale a Fiddlers Green model is, is sort of asking,"How long is a string".

Generally they are somewhere in the area of 1/60.

There are 3 H-34's in 1/32 scale at my page (the link is below). USMC, Medevac and Israeli a.f. colors.

    FG scale

Rick you just answered one of my burning questions regarding FG & scale issues.
Another answer might be, "what do you want it to be " :thumb:
ML models has several versions of the HC-34 helicopter, same bird, different name I believe. It's not free but is an excellent model.

    S58 Seabat

    MItchell -
They are all one in the same. S58 is the designation that Sikorsky used for this particular airframe. The US Navy used the HSS-1 designator until converting to the SH-34 designator to align with the Army/Air Force/Marines for parts commonality joint services usage. There was a German fellow that had one in German Navy markings - I think it was in 1:33. I am still searching the web and will let you know if I find it. I know there's one in 1:32 with Army, Marine, Army Medivac in white and Isreali AF that you can scale down & re-paint - I'll look for the designer.

The designer you speak of is above.

I don't think that there is a 1/300 or 1/350 helo like that out there. Buying a 1/33 scale helo is overkill for detail I think.

What you need is Oliver Bizer's model found here... His work is simple yet detailed enough to hold it's own for scale. You can easily scale it down further although as far as 1/300 is concerned, thats going to be a tough scale to work with for something that size.

Oliver Bizer really captures the essence of the subject. You know what he has modeled even though they have many straight edges, they still are very effective.

If you don't mind your helos not being paper, the French company l'Arsenal makes 1/350 scale HSS choppers in resin with photo ecthed parts. I haven't bought them, but the other stuff of theirs I have is excellent.

The only source I know of for 1/300 scale aircraft is Scotia Grendel, but I don't believe they offer a HSS.

    Hope this helps.
