servo problem

    my steering servo is doing something weird, instead of being fluid in movement it kinda jerks and makes a weird ticking sound when ever i turn. i was thinkin maybe the servo saver, i but i dont. please help

    Stripped Gears?

    Sounds like stripped gears to me.

    how do i fix stripped gears? the wheels still turn if that helps any

    You will need to purchase a replacement set of servo gears. These are specific to each servo so be sure to buy the proper set.

    First, remove the servo horn from the top of the servo. Then, there are 4 screws that go up from the bottom of the servo that holds the top plate that you need to remove. These screws are fairly long and actually hold the top, center and servo bottom parts together.

    The gears on top are usually white plastic (unless you have a metal gear servo) and you need to carefully remove these gears. Be sure to note how they all go together.

    Install the new gears and then close everything back up. Be sure to test it before you install it in your car/plane just in case.
