Good luck! Athearn no longer list their SD9..Walthers may have the P2K SD7/9 shells..Check E-bay,Train Shows and use shelves at hobby shops.
sorry diden't know athearn had dropped them.a starndard SD9 shell dropped in a container of brake fluid will make a undecerated out of it .
The Athearn model was one of their old units with the hood about 1/8 inch wider than scale, due to the width of the motor that Irv originally used. Virtually all of their new equipment is made from either later model scale width Athearn's like the gp 40-2s and gp 38-2s or exRail Power Products bodies that have had the molds upgraded. I don't remember if Railpower made sd7s or 9s or not.
