Does anyone know of a free download for a Scale Cube for use with model photography?

Not a problem. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes is all that are needed.

So are we going to be seeing any new photos soon?

I just wish all of these included an actual scale in the model. Unless you already know or have one of these in your desk you all you can do is guess, which completely defeats the purpose.

Sort of. The scale cubes are well understood by other modelers since they are all 5 centimetres square. The problem is that many don't know that. I often send pictures of builds to others in my family, and for reference I mailed my mother a completed scale cube.

Another common practice (which I usually use) is to simply place a ruler in the photo, which is understood more universally.

Yeah this i a better way, use this and the scale cube there can be no issues trying to work out how big the model is. A cube also helps with the 3D size of the model which speaks volumes. Nice to see ya Steve :thumb:

So that's why I keep seeing these strange cubes in the pictures of papercraft from around the net.

    I'll have to download one...
