Saw An Odd Bumper Sticker Yesterday....

Yesterday when I was headed to work I saw a bumper sticker on the back of a truck that said, "North American Railroads- First they use you then they abuse you." Anybody know what the story is behind that??

Did it have a United Transportation Union logo or a Brotherhood Relief Fund logo by it?

While railroad work looks romatic to railfans and modelers, these days, it's a tough row to hoe. Railroad Companies are seriously looking out for their stockholders and the bottom line and the days of the company caring for and appreciating the working stiffs are long over. If you keep your nose clean and do your job, in *most* instances, you'll be ok. But one little slip up, and your career is now in the toilet.

Sad, but fact of life these days.

I didn't notice either one of those logos but I really didn't have a lot of time to study it either. I did see that there were a bunch of railroad logos down at the bottom of it, so they weren't just discriminating against one line.
