Did you use aluminum tooling foil? Beautiful model!
My goodness, this is outstanding work. So clean and crisp!
How did you do that gunsight :!: :!: :?:
The whole model is very impressive.(I think that's an understatement)
1. The landing light is made of transparent foil (the one to be used for inkjet printers). I heated it up over a candle, and then bossed it with a rounded tool. The last thing to do was to cut out the future reflector, sand its edges and paint it silver. The bulb was made with the same method, though I used a smaller tool (and no paint, of course).
2. The alluminium foil was used only for the buckles on the seatbelts.
3. The gunsight isn't that small, so it wasn't very difficult. The ring is made of paper strip with 4 tiny holes (made with a cut and sanded injection needle), in which the copper wires were put later on. Their endings were cut with a nail-cutter.
An other exelent design I'm once again greatly impressed by your design and modeling quality. Beautiful
Okay Swinger...........the guns............rolled paper or needles??!!
And I too love the gunsight. You made me give it a try on the model I built for Horus' contest.
I tried it a little different, all metal except for the hairs from my Sume, who is in the avatar with me.
And for what it's worth............ this truely is a gorgious model!!!! As are all I seen that you have built!
