Rock Island and American Railroad History

    Here's a link I found on American Railroad History, mostly the Rock Island. I said in a thread sometime ago that Jesse James robbed a Rock Island train. I was told I was wrong. Here's the proof that I am not!:)

    The Rock Island WAS a mighty fine line!

    Vindication! :) I've driven by Adair and believe I saw a historical marker there commemorating the train robbery.

    Never knew that tidbit about The Rock. Of course I really don't all that much about anything relating to railroads, as I am very green when it comes to all of this.

    Any of you guys a member of the RITS? Coming soon is a magazine totally devoted to modelling the Rock Island!
