I'm getting ready to build a small layout. I'm useing a 4*8 sheet of plywood. Can I put the roadbed right on the plywood or do I need to put something on the plywood first? Thx.
At the very least, you should seal or paint the plywood first. The use of raised road bed such as cork or WS is optional, depending on the look you want. It may also affect the sound transmission and noise level.
