I have two questions - over what time period and in what areas of the country did the Rock Island run Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs) ??

I know that in 1964 some RDCs in Chicago were converted to coaches, and ran like this for about five years.

Was Chicago the only place the RDCs ran (either motored or as
coaches)?
