I was sure I started a thread a while ago about Sylvan and mould release cleaning, however I can't find it now. What I need to know is - Is there a cleaner that I would have around the house to clean the mould release off a cast resin kit. Sylvan has a product called Resin Prep and Testors has something called Diosol. no one around me has either. is there anything else I can use??? Thanks Frank

I've built serveral Sylvan Trucks. They say to use Dio-Sol which is what I did, but be sure you use it in a well ventalated place. And don't use Dio-Sol on the styrene parts just the resin.:thumb: :cry:

If it's a PVA release agent warm water with dish liquid or car windscreen cleaner in it works well.
I used PVA release on the formwork for my bay. It cleaned up well afterward.

As suggested, I use warm water and dishwashing detergent for the resin stuff I do myself. It works great, I don't think it's necessary to get the expensive (and toxic) stuff.
