I got this tip from a hobby shop guy in Houston, Texas.
Get a product called "Bestine" from Hobby Lobby. It is a rubber cement solvent thinner.
Use a Q tip or a soft cotton rag and it is amazing how well it works. It will take the lettering off of Bachmann cars and not harm the paint job. The reason being that the lettering is an ink process and the car finish is lacquer. Give it a try. Thanks, Harvey Hill, Broken Arrow, OK.
  3. you may also want to try a pencil eraser. i tried it on 4 nscale coach cars and it worked fine.

The sandpaper takes the paint off the On30 Bachmann passenger cars the easiest. I tried various methods and found this worked the best and leveled the area left by the original printing.
