I was unhappy with the color of my SD40-2F so I did a repaint today.

This is more my style. I think it looks great with my SD40-2.

...this #9007 looks great - but why I think that this is a different, a second engine ? maybe because of the missing grab irons ? (but the engine looks great anyway...)

I dont think the model would benefit greatly with the reapplicaiton of grabirons. What to you think?

The front and back railings are from an atlas SD60 (from a SOO line unit I am currently painting and will finish when I locate decals). They look good. I found the Kaslo ones to be a little finicky. Altho they look great.

I need jewels for the marker lights. I dunno if anyone makes them.

That looks great! I love those units. I think it would enhance the model if you refitted the grabs

David, were you serious about being able to make these red barns for $250? And did that include a decoder?! I think it looks just as good as any loco purchased off the shelf!
