Ralph's Pretty Good Grocery

Fan's of "A Prairie Home Companion" will recognise the name. My friend Walt has always wanted to build something for my layout. He surprised me with this grocery store based on a real store located in scenic Marine-on-Croix, MN. Here's the model he built.

Walt secretly enlisted my wife's help. She drove out to Marine and photographed the real store as a reference

Here's Ralph's located next to Mea Cuppa Coffee and Susan's Quilts, across the tracks from the Cargil plant. Its great to have friends with talent!

That's a neat store that Walt built for you Ralph. What is it made out of?

Robin, its mostly mat board. Walt scribed the lines for the siding and roof.
