I think I converted Charlie to a train spotter by the time I left
Anyway hope this is not boring.

Then we are off to the round house.
here we find Loco 374..
May 23rd 1887 was a great day for Vancouver, when CPR Engine 374 pulled the first transcontinental train into the city.
She retired in 1945.
Also a picture of the restored round house.

Then to my surprise I find 2860 striped and undergoing restoration.
I chatted to the main men and they reckoned she will have a full head of steam late next year and the have track to run her on yipppeeeeeee.
I`ll be back in two years, Lord willing.

The outer covering of the Hudson was laid on these trucks.

Seattle here we come.
The main reason for the trip was to ride the Aussia Trams, these will be gone this year as we were told the powers that be wanted the little tiny plot of land that the barns are built on
Go figure eh!!
The day was great as we took lots of shots of the water front.
But here is the train stuff.

Welcome home Chris!!! Those are some great shots - and make me wish I'd been along for the ride! You really got behind the scenes there. Can you tell me more about that unit 2672? What is it - I've never seen fans like that up front (if that's what they are).
