New Turntable drive is here
I got my new version of the AROS ELECTRONICS turntable drive yesterday for testing.
I will try to get some pics on tonight before and after the instalation.
Your making some AMAZING progress fifer! :thumb:
The layout is looking FANTASTIC!! :thumb: :thumb:
Here is the Aros Electronics drive just as it arrived with a 3/16 shaft and 24 positions to match my atlas roundhouse.
Bench test has proven to be reliable in either direction within .005" . Very Impressed. Tomorrow I'll try to install and take pictures.
Within .005 wow!
It's great to see such fast progress! I wish building my track went this fast
SPECTACULAR work, Fifer! :thumb:
Like everyone else, those Indian ruins are something I've never seen on a layout before, and are really well done. Hats off to you!
That Aros turntable drive looks ingenious Mike. I am thinking of getting one too but will wait till you get yours installed to see what it does for you
Robin , It will sell for $189.00 I think and if it works well it's still a much better deal than $400. The Quality of workmanship is supreme.
The new drive also has a more stable and bigger step motor.
Fabulous, Simply F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S:thumb:
Thanks for all the kind words .
My forman (woman) pulled me off the job to go eat dinner and I ate way to much to work upside down tonight so will try to get pics tomorrow.
Thanks Again Gang!!!!
I know how that is.
I am a failure at making the drive work on the turntable .
Care to elaborate? Why wouldn't it work?
No I can't elaborate, sorry.
Really looks great, Mike! Rock on. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
You continue to impress us all. Beautiful work!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
