Power Packs.

I have a couple of old power packs lying around. I've been debating whether or not I should chuck them. However becuase that would seem like such a waste, and mostly because I'm cheap I was wondering if I could use them to power accessories or other things on my layout.

Each of those is rated 1/2 amp or less. (400-500 ma) You could probably power a bunch of LEDs with them -- I think 3 in series would make the 4.5V.
The 11 V one might barely power a Capacitor Discharge unit for switch machines.
The others might power a few Tortoise switch machines.
I'll let a few others comment.
