Isn't Tokyo a great place to visit? I was last there (Oshiage) in the late 90's, I think 1998, and loved every minute. I spent a lot of time in Okinawa and the main land outside of Tokyo in the 1980's. The last trip, I did get to venture out of the city (via bullet train!) for one weekend.
