I am laying a double main down [N] and see in Walthers a Peco Double Crossover w/electrofrog. I don't have any info about it so am not sure if it is what I need. Does the track thru the crossover only require power from adjoining track? Any info about it will be helpful. I have tortoise machines already but am not sure about how the track is powered thru the dbl switches. Thanks for any info.

Charles:
Peco "code 55" is actually code 80 height rail with an extra base and set deeper into the ties so that it looks smaller. It mates with code 80.
Look at the Loy's Toys website. They have wiring information for all the Peco switches. They're DCC biased, but the wiring info is useful for anyone.
I think Peco make a special electrical switch for the double crossover.

Nope, that's not true. Atlas code 55 causes problems with older wheelsets. Peco code 55 doesn't, because of its design...
