Canada, eh?
If you're interested in the CPR, a good resource for locomotive painting info is Rail Canada, Volume 3. My copy is from the first edition in 1979, and covers from the early black scheme, through the various versions of the maroon and grey, and up to the multimark Action Red days. I don't know if this book has been reprinted with more up-to-date info, but it's good for the time frame mentioned. Included are diagrams, and b&w and colour photos, plus a roster.

The book has been reprinted with more modern info. The author lives in the same area that I do and I see him at every swap meet. Now the books come in a binder format so you can add pages as you go. I believe he also has the books on CD-rom now too

I have only the CPR version: it belonged to a now-long-gone LHS, and was lent to me because I was doing so many CP paint jobs for them. I brought it back to them after the last batch, but they told me to keep it. :thumb: For CNR info, I borrow books from the cn nutbar lending library. :D Usually, the CN paint jobs are for him anyway.
