In the last few days I have watched a couple of movies that I think will be of interest to you Loggers. Both have some very interesting shots of logging equipment.

In the Hoppy movie they have what appears to be a steam or compressed air crosscut saw sat on a tripod affair.

In God’s Country they have some great shots of a Shay at work. It also shows a dry log slide.

GOD'S COUNTRY AND THE WOMAN, with George Brent and Beverly Roberts

LUMBERJACK, A Hopalong Cassidy movie.

Goattee,

Thanks for the "heads-up." I found this movie data base a couple of years ago, and it is good for getting the details on movies. Link to site follows:

http://www.imdb.com/search

Lumberjack (1944):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037030/

GOD'S COUNTRY AND THE WOMAN (1937):

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0028941/

Both records list shooting locations, plus much more.
