The first picture shows a train crossing the Pic river near Marathon

The next one is a grain train headed east in the Nipigon area.

Matthyro,

I had to squint on the second shot, kind of like a "Where's Waldo" puzzle, but I was impressed when I found the grain train!

Were you up a tree for that, or how did you keep from falling down the mountian? Are these shots in Ontario?

George.

Both pictures are in Ontario George. The north shore of Lake Superior is called North West Ontario. The second shot is taken from the top of a cliff and used the trees to keep me from falling. What we do for pictures eh! The highway passes behind me and this is part of a viewing point.

Robin,

Thanks for the geographical pointers. I've never been so close to the Canadian Shield so I was surprised at the topography.

The only places I've ever been in Ontario were almost as flat as Kansas! How far out of Thunder Bay is this place?

George.
