newbie question

I have a 8x4 layout, What my question is. If I run a seperate track around the outside,
not connected to the existing layout. And connected to a seperate controller is that going to cause me a problem? Like electric shock, etc? I want the outter loop to just run continuously. And I can't do DCC at the moment. I just want to make sure i'm not breaking some major rule of electric wiring. Like if a loco derails and ends up on both tracks ,etc..

Any advise would be appriciated..:thumb:

Doesn't sound like a problem to me. I wouldn't worry about the loco derailing onto the other track unless your running them at mach chicken. sign1

No that will be fine. If there is no connection between the two parts of the layout controlled seperately there's no chance of shorts, etc. Happy running!
