More on the road wheels

The inside strips are a bit large. I will adjust them on the plans.

Roll them with the color side in, then place it inside the road wheel. Place it to the edge of the road wheel. The inner edge will act as a stop for the wheel hubs later on.

Punch or cut out the X part. This will be the outer ring.

When you place the outer ring on the drill bit, it will serve as a guide for the black extension strip of the road wheel.

More road wheels

In continuation with the road wheels... With the inner strip in place, it will act as a stop for the hubs when you force it down (gently) with the drill bit.

Don't worry about the white edges, it will be taken care of later.

Road wheels

Attach the back of the roadwheels. Do not cut out the center portion. you will need it to glue to the pylon.

Place the roadwheels on the marked side of the pylon. Once they have set, turn the pylon over and guide the back roadwheels using the outside roadwheels as a reference point.:wave::wave::wave::wave:

end of road wheels

This makes for the end of the road wheels section. Originally I was going to make the track guides but Then I decided not to. As you can see, the road wheels spacing adapts to a center track guide if you should decide to make one.

getting there

This build is almost over, it just need small details to make it stand out.

1. I glued the track pad strip on posterboard and trimmed out each pad individually.

The third pic is a track section finished.

2. Using the track section, I used it as a template to make the inside of the track.

3. I then wrapped it around the road wheels and cut it at the top front instep and top rear heel See arrows.

It is a FREEBIE

The super Chimera is now in the download section. Enjoy,

I seem to have a problem linking this build to the download. I would have added this build as a instruction folder but then my limit would have been way over the 2 MB. Any-ways, I am still constructing the build sequence so there is just a little bit more to come.

If any one wishes to help me out in linking this build to the download I would appreciate it.

Here are a few more build pix.

I was checking the download and had a problem with the download button in blue. If you have problems downloading use the one in the black highlights on top or the bottom. it came out complete without no error messages.

Download link location

Here is the link location for download. http://www.zealot.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=896&act=down

"I checked the download and it leads straight to the download window."

I will be adding some accessories to this build. Items to come will be the tool sets, ammo boxes, fuel cans, ropes and cables, folded tarps and a few other small items. enjoy:wave::wave::wave::wave:

I finally got the link working but the download is back in cue. You will have to wait for the administrator to re-release it again for download. I apologize for the delay and good luck to those who downloaded it before the cue.

almost there

Getting to the end, just small details left. Here is a section on building the Fuel cans.

I use internal bracing using laminated 2X posterboard, but you can make it with paper tabs as well. The parts are too small to add the tabs. If you draw the tabs and fold on them, they will wrinkle at the edges /corners.

Smoke/gfrenade Launchers

Smoke and Grenade launchers. I used a paper stick to roll the strip into a hollow tube.

Made two brackets and glued the tubes facing forward on the brackets.

I placed them on the slanted side hull but they can be placed in any appropriate position you deem fit.:wave::wave:

Still waiting for the download to be re-activated.

this is one of the best projects ever. You are amazingly talented and very detail oriented (which makes all the difference). Love the handles and taillights :)

Thank you Bloody Bandage. Remember that this is a free download for the Zealot community. Enjoy it. I just finished the Imperial Thunderbolt. which can be found in the Sci-Section of this forum.

NOTE: This model needs to be reduced to about 80% to be compatible with the warhammer units.

There are a few more Warhammer unit that I am looking at, Like my version of the Valkerie. Already did the lightning and the Vulture

Eventually I will go back and work on the last Vipers from Battle Star Galactica. MK-VII and the Blackbird.

You say it needs scaled down, so may I ask what format the file is in? I'll be looking this one up eventually, as the poster before me indicated, very nice work! I normally just cheat with normal GW bits to camo my builds. lol

It is in a jpeg format. Standard paper size. As is, it will come out about 1/35 scale. Go to printer properties and reduce the scale to fit your needs. about 80 percent will be about the Warhammer gaming piece size.

Great, great, great. That's the thing I'am searching for. I am fan of w40k models. I builded some work of patoroch but was not glad, because of low detail level (not bad, they are for game scale). So I prefer detail model of lager scale to simply build and place on the shelf.
But IMHO, chimera has a turret? Or this is about chimera MK-?

This is a basic hull model. My future projects were to incorporate a frontal cannon for a tank killer version and the turret was also in the works. It is just that I overwhelm myself sometimes and I have not gotten around to the add-ons, ie the turret.:cry::cry:

Here is a pic of the Chimera with the bolts/nuts on it which I did not get around to do, this is from the beta build.
